Third weekend of the FIM CEV European Superbike Championship was held 3rd to 5th of july at Motorland Aragon with temperatures up to 42 degree celcius.

The last race in Barcelona was first race with the new 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RF and the result was a bit of a disapointment for both Michael and the team.

Following conversations with Aprilia Racing made it clear that some changes to the bike was nescessary.

The team then recieved a setup used by Savadori in the WSBK Superstock catagory for testing in Aragon.

Unfortunately Michael did not equal the laptimes of Savadori right away.

Michael: "The bike was very different and it took alot of time to understand  it, but every time on track we made a little progress."

During the qualifying practices Michael was 19th with a laptime still 2,5 seconds off from the laptime from last year.

In the race Michael had a decent start but ended up fighting for 16th - 17th position behind Spanish rider Lucas de Ulacia.  in the last laps Michael followed really close to try to overtake in one of the last corners, but a small mistake in the 9th corner of last lap opened a gap and Michael finished the race in 17th position, with the fastest lap of the weekend in lap 14 of 15.

Michael: "i enjoyed the race and i understand a little more of the bike for every lap i make, but with this said, i am not satified fighting outside the points when i know the potential of myself and the bike is bigger."

Next race is 4th to 6th of september in Albacete.
