FIM CEV European Superbike Championship – Motorland Aragon
The third weekend of the FIM CEV European Superbike Championship took place from July 3rd to 5th at Motorland Aragon, with temperatures reaching up to 42°C.
The last race in Barcelona was the first race with the new 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RF, and the result was a bit disappointing for both Michael and the team.
Following conversations with Aprilia Racing, it became clear that some changes to the bike were necessary.
The team then received a setup used by Savadori in the WSBK Superstock category for testing in Aragon.

Qualifying and Setup Adjustments
Unfortunately, Michael did not immediately match Savadori's lap times.
Michael: "The bike was very different, and it took a lot of time to understand it, but every time I was on track, we made a little progress."
During the qualifying sessions, Michael secured 19th place with a lap time still 2.5 seconds off his best from last year.
The Race
In the race, Michael had a decent start but ended up fighting for 16th–17th position behind Spanish rider Lucas de Ulacia. In the last laps, Michael followed closely, trying to overtake in one of the final corners. However, a small mistake in the ninth corner of the last lap opened a gap, and Michael finished in 17th place, recording his fastest lap of the weekend on lap 14 of 15.
Post-Race Reflections
Michael: "I enjoyed the race, and I understand the bike a little more with every lap I complete. That said, I am not satisfied fighting outside the points when I know both my potential and the bike's are greater."
Next Race
The next race is set for September 4th to 6th in Albacete.
