PURE CONCEPT for the Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 (2021-) in reverse shift configuration is a rear set system for riders who want to fine-tune ergonomics, improve rider fit and switch to a more sport-oriented shift pattern without unnecessary compromises. On the RS 660 / Tuono 660 platform, that makes a lot of sense, because foot position, body input and clean movement on the bike play a major role both on fast road rides and on track. The main advantage of PURE CONCEPT is its adjustment range. The system works across 3 circles and a total of 34 positions, so the rider is not limited to just a few fixed options. That gives a real chance to find a setup that suits body size, boot size and riding style. Compared to the OEM position, the pegs can be moved up to 59 mm rearward and 46 mm upward, while the system also allows a less common direction of adjustment, up to 5 mm forward and 6 mm downward. That is exactly where PURE CONCEPT stands apart from many sport rear sets, which usually only move the foot higher and further back. A key advantage of this version is that reverse shift works without ECU flashing, without map changes and without any modification to the quickshifter electronics. The solution is built mechanically, not electronically, and it has been tested in real use. The quickshifter remains fully functional and there is no need for additional electronic changes. That is exactly what makes this rear set such a strong solution for the Aprilia 660 platform. Both the brake and shift levers run on 22 mm sealed ball bearings protected against dust and water, and the length of both levers can be adjusted independently to suit boot size and rider preference. A major practical benefit is also full compatibility with the stock brake light switch and quickshifter, even with the reverse shift pattern. The construction uses high-strength EN AW-7075 T6 aluminium, hard anodising, high-strength TORX A2 stainless hardware and a lightweight design developed with ANSYS load simulations. Machined pockets on the rear side of the arm reduce weight while also contributing to stiffness. The anti-slip peg profile, tested in EWC / 24h Le Mans endurance racing, keeps the rider’s foot planted even in the wet and under harder use.
