The RACE CONCEPT rear set for the Kawasaki ZX-6R (2003-2004) is built for riders who want sharper control, stronger support and a more committed riding position from this lightweight supersport without sacrificing stiffness. On the early ZX-6R, ergonomics make a very real difference because the bike responds quickly to body input, changes direction eagerly and rewards a clean rider-to-bike connection when the pace rises. A major advantage of this version is compatibility with both the standard OEM shift pattern and reverse / GP shift. The conversion is handled mechanically by simply rotating the splined adapter on the shift shaft by 180°. That gives the rider the freedom to tune the bike for sporty road riding or track use without having to move to a different rear set. On a 600 supersport, the right shift pattern and the right foot position directly affect rhythm, lean confidence and transition speed. The rear set offers 8 positions ranging from 10 to 32 mm upward and rearward, making it easier to tailor the riding position around body size, boot size and riding style. Brake and shift lever length can also be adjusted independently, helping create a more natural and more accurate control feel. That becomes especially noticeable on corner entry, during side-to-side changes and on corner exit. Technically, this is a full RACE CONCEPT package. All parts are CNC-machined from high-strength EN AW-7075 T6 aluminium alloy, the levers run on Ø 22 mm ball bearings sealed against dust and water, and the overall construction uses a weight-optimised design with high-strength TORX fasteners. Hard anodised finish improves durability in long-term use, and the special peg profile tested in EWC / 24h Le Mans endurance racing keeps boot grip secure even in wet conditions. The set also supports colour personalization through interchangeable protective fins, footpegs and brake and shift lever-end parts. Optional folding toe peg upgrades are available as well. The rear set does not include a brake light activation mechanism, so if brake light function is required, we recommend fitting a hydraulic pressure switch.
